Find out what your real MMR actually is
Riot never shows you this number. Enter your rank, LP, and win rate below and we'll estimate your hidden matchmaking rating, your LP gain outlook, and how far you actually are from your next rank.
How the estimate works
We don't have access to Riot's internal rating system — nobody outside Riot does. Here's exactly what we calculate instead.
You give us three numbers
Your current rank, your LP within that rank, and your win rate over recent ranked games. That's all the public information that exists about your performance.
We apply a weighted offset
Win rates above 50% push your estimated rating above your visible rank; win rates below 50% pull it down. The further from 50%, the bigger the gap we calculate.
You get a rating, not a guess
The result shows your estimated MMR on the same point scale as ranks, plus what that gap means for your LP gains and how many wins you likely need next.
MMR ranges by rank
Every rank maps to a rough rating band. Divisions within a rank are worth about 125 points each.
What MMR actually is, and why your rank doesn't show it
Matchmaking Rating is the number Riot's servers use to decide who you play against. It runs constantly in the background, completely separate from the rank badge on your profile. You'll never find it in the client — Riot has kept it hidden since the system launched.
The reason this matters is LP. When your hidden rating sits above your visible rank, you gain more LP per win and lose less per loss — the system is correcting you upward. When it sits below your rank, the opposite happens: smaller gains, bigger losses, until the two numbers line back up. Two players in the exact same division can be gaining completely different amounts of LP for this reason alone.
That's the entire purpose of this tool: since you can't see the number directly, we estimate it from the data that is visible — your rank, your LP, and your recent results — so you know whether you're being pulled up, held back, or matched fairly.
How to actually move your MMR
Only one thing changes it: winning more than you lose, consistently.
Narrow your champion pool
Two or three champions you can play with your eyes closed will outperform ten champions you're decent at. Save the experimenting for normals.
Dodge bad lobbies without guilt
A dodge costs LP and queue time, nothing more. Your underlying rating is untouched, so a rough comp or a tilted teammate is worth walking away from.
Stop the session after a losing streak
Decision-making gets worse with frustration, and every extra loss on tilt digs the hole deeper. A fresh five-game win streak rebuilds your rating faster than grinding through a bad night.
Chase win rate, not volume
Thirty games at a 55%+ win rate will move your rating more than a hundred games at break-even. Quality of session beats quantity every time.

About this tool
MMRChecks.com is built and maintained by a small independent team that plays ranked League and got tired of MMR checkers that were slow, cluttered, or clearly abandoned. We wanted one page that answers the question and gets out of your way.
