How Does Valorant MMR Work?
In Valorant, your visible rank (such as Silver 3, Platinum 2, or Ascendant 1) is separate from your hidden MMR. Your hidden rating represents your true skill level evaluated by Riot’s matchmaking system.

Why Are Your RR Gains Changing?
If your hidden MMR is higher than your visible badge, the system accelerates your progression by awarding more RR on wins (+20 to +30 RR) and deducting less on losses (-10 to -15 RR). If your MMR drops below your current rank, RR gains diminish until your match performance stabilizes.
